The only CX85's I have seen were styled to match the original 400/800/810 series; mine does.

I don't have a solution but I admire the problem.

Mathy,
I have a Black Box.
Are you saying that you can control an Audio CD from your Atari 8-bit via a Black box?
Where do I get the program do that?
This sounds way too cool!
As far as reading data...
My understanding is that it would take an Atari DOS or SpartaDOS or MyDOS modification to recognize 1024 byte sectors vice the maximum of 512K with the Black Box??

Theoretically you needn't any disk. After turning on the ST you should see its desktop (green screen with two disk icons and thrash icon). Theoretically, becouse it seems there is a bug in its OS which cause that you have to have any DD formatted disk in the drive (may be empty).

------------- Build BOTH robots! Both are good machines for this, the Atari because of the joyports, and I can tell you how to access the joyports and stick ports if you need, or the parallel and game port on a PC. Both offer about the same basic I/O, so do whatever you like. Write me if you want. -Steve -- -Steve Walz rste@armory.com -Electronics Site!! 1000 Files/50 Dirs!! Europe Naples Italy:

I just rescued an 800xl and a 1200xl from a nasty little thrift store... The 800 appears to work fine: can anyone point me in the direction of any online guides to Atari Basic, I vaguely remember Apple II syntax from high school. The 1200 lacks a power supply: can I get something from radio shack (if so what), or is this an incredibly rare item I'll have to find on eBay? Thanx, Patrick.
