no, it's not in the manual. The driver must be modifyed to do that. Not sure if the 850 would be able to keep up at 19200.

Ya, those were the days, when the disk drive actually could hold more than the memory of the computer. Today, computers come with floppy drives that have 1.4 megabyte capacity, yet, memory of 128 megabytes!

More like a few gigs on some units. But, those were the days when disk drives were king (and you had eight of them :) ).

Most printer interfaces translate the $9b to $13 and that is it. That is why printers must be set to CR after line feed. Atari ones are the exception. Most programs take into account the 155 - 13 translation and avoide 155 all together. 153 is used instead IIRC.

Unfond memories: I can remember doing my own graphic dump programs, but it has been so long I can't even remember why I did it rather then just use an exisiting program. Wrote dumps for Axiom<I think Axiom was only 7 pin head>, Citizen, Epson.
Early on when I was still new to Atari I do remember literally spending days dumping the same file over and over and having it glitch 1/2 way through the dump due to a '155 in the data. After I finally figured it out, I took a less then optimum approach and output 200 single pixel height lines. I think eventually I did write a dump that did two 4 bit lines to feed the data a little faster.

On the APE website, I notice that there are two cables for sale there - one called an APE cable, and the other a ProSystem cable. The pictures are identical. Are these really two different cables, or just the same cable under two different names?
I know I'll need the APE cable, but I need to know if I'll need the ProSystem cable for copy-protected disks.
