There is another Boink - called FujiBoink with flying swan.  (hint: use
joystick to slow down frame by frame to see how it works in Swan animation)

For ST computers, there are multiple Boinks ball on a screen at once - forgot
the name.  More like marble-style than Boinks - where you can increase the
number of balls on screen at once.

    I tried to hook up my Indus following a friends advice using the
standard 9v a/c adapter from atari.  It doesn't seem to work.  I got brief
flicker of led's and then nothing.  Does anyone know the power requirements
and polarity??  Thanks!

Right from the FAQ's listing the indus as the following.  Posted here every
60 days.  It doesn't mention anything about the polarity of the connector.

I have heard that the 9vac will burn out some components if plugged into the

I have ran mine from 12 VDC for years with out harm. I think the centre is

Right.
You have blown either the power supply or some parts of the Indus.
I blew a 9v ac ps that way.  The Indus used the same size and shape
plug, but a different supply (11, 12 or 9v DC).  Let's just hope it was the
ps.
You can probably recover the ps if you crack it open and replace the
fuse.  You have to cut open those Atari ps.

You can get a power supply for your Indus at
          I believe the Atari 5200 PS
will work fine. Ask their tech support to be sure.

Well as a follow up I have good news.  I tore my garage apart trying to find
some more power supplies.  Couldn't find anything and went to my storage
building today and found tons of power supplies.  I plugged my Indus into a
5200 p/s and all is well.  Also during my scavaging I found a second Indus.
Too bad these things aren't so popular anymore.  Does anyone have the info
to mod a xf551 into a 3 1/2" ?  I'm interested in doing that.  Thanks!
