No, I can't speak to using a RealTime cartridge personally, but I can tell you that I am very happy with previous cartridges I purchased from Sunmark. I purchased InstaDOS and MultiGames 02.
RealTime looks to me like it would have limited use to someone who doesn't use SpartaDOS. It does the time/date-stamping of files in SpartaDOS. And then you can evidently read the time from your own programs, but this feature is only going to work for those who have a RealTime cartridge. If the cartridge supported BeweDOS I might get it, or maybe if the wizards of Sunmark crammed in some Atari BASIC extensions like autoline renumbering, or maybe if the cartridge also offered memory expansion (is that possible?) then I would get one.
But I will say that the quality of Sunmark products is very high in my experience.

Uhm... Seems like the RT8 will work OK, that it is the TDLINE that won't work. FTEDOS 3.2g or f had a Y2K TDLINE. And Tom Hunt wrote one also. Of course, this is SpartDOS only. You can find Tom's CTHTDLINE at my site:
Of course, it has been so long since I used the RT8, I could be wrong.
Thanks for the info. I guess in all honesty it isn't that important to me make work but it's hard to accept that the little bugger has been defeated. If you know what I mean.

There was a whole period of advanced Atari 8bit programming that I like to call "the Polish Renaissance" that occured after most 8bitters in North America stop using their machines, I think like from 1988 to 1995 or so. It is amazing the quality of the stuff that came out, whether it was Another World or the port of Barbarian or SOS Saturn or whatever.

Very interesting. I thought I was one of the last hold outs on the 8-bit. I was still using one in 90/91 when I switched to the Amiga. One cool thing about the amiga was you could switch into "pal" mode via software, but on the atari it required some hardware hacks, so most of the euro software was unusable on the 8bits.
I would love to check some of this other software out.

wow, very impressive. It's too bad these games weren't available in the US (in the 90's). Some of the black andwhite games look like they were done in gr.8? I didnt think any games were done in this mode.
